IKAWE Moov help
How to add books to IKAWE Moov
Add books to IKAWE Moov with the IKAWE app over Wi-Fi, or by copying EPUBs and images into the books folder over USB-C. Which files work which way.

In short

- Over USB-C: select USB Mode on Moov, then copy EPUB files and images into the books folder on your computer.
- For PDFs, MOBI, FB2, TXT and CBZ, use the app, which processes them for Moov before sending.

Add books with the IKAWE app
Moov needs to be bound to the app first; see bind Moov to the IKAWE app.
- Make sure Moov is bound to the IKAWE app and connected to a Wi-Fi network.
- In the app, open the Devices tab and select your e-reader model.
- Tap Import, select the file type, and choose the book file from your phone.
- On the Moov Home screen, tap the upper-right corner to open the menu.
- Select Sync to receive the file.
Large files, such as long PDFs, can take a few minutes to process and sync. Keep Moov on Wi-Fi until it finishes.
Add books over USB-C
- Connect Moov to your computer using a USB-C cable.
- On the Moov Home screen, tap the upper-right corner to open the menu.
- Select USB Mode.
- Once Moov appears on your computer as a drive, copy your book files into the books folder.
- Eject Moov on your computer before unplugging the cable.
Your books appear in Moov's library when you leave USB Mode. Keep a copy of your library on your computer, too: Moov shouldn't be the only place your books live.
Where to find books
- Project Gutenberg and Standard Ebooks: free public-domain classics, as EPUB
- Publishers and stores that sell DRM-free e-books
- Your own documents and PDFs, through the app
Books from the Kindle or Kobo stores and library loans are usually DRM-protected, so they won't open on Moov. More in how to organise an e-book library.
If a book doesn't appear
- Copied over USB: check it's in the books folder and is an EPUB or image. For other formats, import it through the app.
- Sent from the app: open the menu in the upper-right corner of the Home screen and select Sync again, and check Moov is on Wi-Fi.
- Still missing or won't open: it may be DRM-protected or damaged. See troubleshooting.
