Size: the X3 is genuinely smaller
At 58 g, the X3 is 17 g lighter than Moov, about 12 mm shorter and 2 mm narrower. That makes it one of the lightest e-readers available; among current models, only the Boox Picco, also about 58 g, matches it. If you want the most pocketable reader of all, the X3 is the honest pick.
- Xteink X358 g
- IKAWE Moov75 g
- Xteink X397.6 mm
- IKAWE Moov110 mm
Moov is still small: narrower than most phones and 75 g, about half the weight of a 6-inch Kindle or Kobo.
Screen: sharper and smaller, or larger
The X3's 259 PPI renders small text more crisply than Moov Lite's 219 PPI. The trade-off is space: Moov's 4.5-inch screen has considerably more room for text, so you turn pages less often and can use a larger font comfortably. Moov Pro combines both, with 300 PPI on the 4.5-inch screen.

Reading in the dark
The X3 has no front light; Xteink sells a $9.99 clip-on light separately. Both Moov models have a built-in warm/cool front light with adjustable brightness and warmth, so you can read in bed or on a dark train with nothing extra to carry.
Controls and extras
The X3 is button-only, with two front rockers and side buttons, plus a gyroscope for tilt- or shake-to-turn and NFC (for unencrypted cards). Six Colors liked its side buttons.
Moov has left and right page-turn buttons and a touchscreen, which makes the library, menus and settings quicker to use; it doesn't have tilt-to-turn or NFC.
Charging and magnets
The X3 charges through a magnetic pogo-pin cable rather than USB-C, which Six Colors called a step back. Some early units shipped with a power-only cable that couldn't be used to install firmware. Its magnetic backplate is MagSafe-compatible, but Six Colors found its single magnet wobbly.
Moov charges and transfers files over USB-C, with a cable in the box, and its magnetic back comes with two adhesive metal rings for phones and cases without magnets.
Battery
Xteink rates the X3 at 10–14 days with 1–3 hours of reading a day, though the same product page also says "up to 10 hours", so treat the claim with care. Six Colors found the battery still going after several weeks.
- IKAWE Moov1,100 mAh
- Xteink X3650 mAh
Moov's 1,100 mAh battery is about 70% larger than the X3's 650 mAh, which helps offset the power its front light uses.
Software
Both run CrossPoint. The X3 gained support in version 1.3.0 in May 2026, and the 1.6.0 release claimed about 3.2 times longer active reading time, measured on the X3. Reviewers have called the X3's stock firmware buggy, so most owners install CrossPoint; Moov runs it out of the box.
Both read DRM-free EPUB and TXT, not Kindle purchases or Libby loans; Moov Pro also reads PDFs with reflow.
