Moov Lite is the essential reading experience, with a 219 PPI display. Moov Pro targets a sharper 300 PPI display, IPX8 water resistance, and enhanced PDF reflow and text formatting. Both share the same compact design and come in white or black. Pro waterproofing remains subject to testing.
EPUB and TXT are supported by the upstream CrossPoint project; support on IKAWE hardware is being validated. MOBI, PDF, PNG, and JPG are also planned, with native support or conversion requirements still to be confirmed. We’ll publish a tested compatibility list before launch. Compatibility with DRM-protected purchases has not been confirmed.
We’re preparing three routes: public-domain book sources such as Project Gutenberg and ManyBooks, USB transfer from your computer, and sharing through a companion phone app. These workflows, including sending web articles, will be confirmed before launch.
Moov is designed around CrossPoint firmware, without Android, installed apps, or a media player. The planned companion app lives on your phone and helps transfer files; it doesn’t add apps or social feeds to the reader.
The magnetic back is intended for compatible phone cases and magnetic surfaces, including suitable fridge doors. Phone, case, and surface compatibility is still being tested. Two adhesive metal rings are planned in the box. Magnetic attachment does not mean wireless charging; Moov charges through USB-C.
Moov has a 1,100 mAh battery target. Our goal is weeks of reading between charges. Real battery life will depend on front-light brightness, wireless use, and reading habits; tested results and conditions will be published before launch.
Yes, the design includes a 16 GB microSD card. You can replace that card with one up to 256 GB. The included card is the reader’s file storage, rather than additional built-in storage.
We’re planning worldwide shipping to supported destinations. The final country list, delivery charges, estimated dates, and taxes or duties information will be available before you place an order.
Our planned terms include cancellation before the announced production deadline, support for damaged items and returns if you’re not satisfied, and a 12-month commercial warranty. The exact return window, process, and warranty terms will be published before preorders open. Applicable consumer rights will continue to apply.
