Reading life
Make room for a few pages
A small reading ritual for the gaps in an ordinary day.

Start with a moment you already have
A reading habit does not have to begin with an empty afternoon. It can start with the few minutes before breakfast, a quiet lunch break, or the wait before someone arrives. Choose a moment that already belongs to your day.
Keep the first promise small: open the book and read a page. If you want to continue, continue. If you need to stop, you have still spent that moment with the story.
Make the next page easy to reach
Decide what you want to read before the moment arrives. One book, already open to your place, gives you less to organise when you only have a little time. A bookmark or a short note can help you return without rereading the whole chapter.
Think about where you naturally pause. Keeping a book or reader nearby may make reading a more convenient choice. Choose somewhere that keeps your belongings safe, and save reading for moments when your attention is free.
Leave room for different kinds of days
Some days invite a chapter. Others allow a paragraph. A reading routine can make space for both without turning every session into a target to beat.
Try ending at a place you want to return to. The aim is not to finish as quickly as possible; it is to make the next visit to the book feel inviting. At IKAWE, that's the kind of everyday reading we built Moov for.
